Aftermarket Feednecks

This is where your hopper mounts. See Thread Sizes & Barrel Compatibility for the full breakdown of which thread applies to which generation — the short version is below.

Thread compatibility matters more than brand here. Ion 1.0, Ion 2.0, and Epiphany all use the Ion/Shocker SFT feedneck thread. The Ion XE switched to the Ion XE/Shocker NXT thread — a feedneck built for one won't fit the other, even though several makers below sell versions for both. Always check which thread you're ordering, not just which marker is listed.

Stock feedneck

Oversized and fitted with three removable friction o-rings, letting it snug down to fit different hopper diameters — see the O-Rings & Torque Specs page for the exact size. Remove one or more o-rings if a hopper fits too tight.

Lever Lock Feed Neck Bob Long Not independently researched A true full-length clamp (not just the top section) with a tool-free lever. Per its own description, one collet works across several thread adapters, so the same collet swaps between markers.
No-Pro CCM (Chipley Custom Machine) CCM threaded — not confirmed for Ion/Shocker SFT "No-Pro" is a real, confirmed CCM feedneck style — a lower-profile variant alongside their "No-Rise" option. But CCM's own current storefront advertises its feednecks specifically "for CCM threaded markers," with no Ion/Shocker SFT thread option listed there, so Ion fitment isn't confirmed by the maker directly. "Hedlock" is a different maker's product entirely — that's Hybrid's name, not CCM's — see the separate Hybrid Hedloc entry below, and don't confuse the two. "Heli-Clamp" traces back to a Tribal Paintball listing rather than anything on CCM's own site, so it isn't attributed to CCM here.
Sure Fit Ion Feed Neck Check-It Products Not independently researched No further manufacturer detail available from the source. Check-It also made an ASA/unimount referenced in aftermarket-Ion community discussion.
CORE Clamping T-Lock Feedneck Core Ion (also Spyder, Piranha, Invert Mini, Spyder VS/RS, ICD) Machined aluminum with a bicycle-style quick-release lever clamp — a genuinely cross-platform feedneck, not Ion-exclusive. Confirmed as a real, Ion-named product via two sources, but no live product page with pricing or stock was found at the one retailer checked (paintball-online.com).
Clamping Feedneck Custom Products (CP) Ion / Shocker SFT CNC-machined aluminum, noticeably lighter than the stock feedneck. Clamping Feed Neck Lapco Ion / Shocker SFT US-made aluminum, low rise (about 1"), won't rotate or damage a seated hopper. The standard Ion version is listed at E-Paintball with an add-to-cart button and no out-of-stock notice — but E-Paintball is a dormant store (see disclaimer), so that's not treated as confirmed current availability, just a real listing worth linking for reference. Lapco's Ion XE-specific "Ultra Low Profile" version is separately, explicitly marked discontinued on Lapco's own site, so don't assume both threads are covered.
Locking Feedneck — Long MasterSconi Ion / Shocker SFT (also Impulse, Mini, 09 Spyder) Same lever-locking squeezing-neck design and finish as the Shorty above, in a taller body. MasterSconi's own site doesn't list this as a separate SKU or name it "Long" — that's a descriptive name for this page, not an official one — but the two lengths are confirmed as physically distinct parts, not a photography artifact.
Locking Feedneck — Shorty MasterSconi Ion / Shocker SFT (also Impulse, Mini, 09 Spyder) Aluminum 6061-T6, dust black finish, lever-locking squeezing-neck design rather than a screw clamp. Confirmed directly on the maker's own site. MasterSconi is already referenced elsewhere on this site as an ASA maker — this is the same company's feedneck line. MasterSconi sells this feedneck as a single listing with no length option shown, but two genuinely different body lengths exist in hand — see the Long version below.
Ion Band Clamp Low Rise Feed Neck New Designz (NDZ) Not independently researched A second, distinct NDZ feedneck alongside the Pro-Lock covered above — a simpler band-clamp design (rather than Pro-Lock's posi-lock lever) with the same internal cross-hatched grip pattern. Same discontinued status as the rest of NDZ's paintball lineup.
Pro-Lock Feedneck New Designz (NDZ) Ion / Shocker SFT Posi-lock lever design — the lever wants to stay closed rather than needing to be actively latched. NDZ pivoted to firearms accessories after its paintball supplier base contracted sharply; their current catalog (ndzperformance.com) has no paintball products at all. The E-Paintball listing here is existing stock, not an active product line.
Cam-Lock Feed Neck Powerlyte Not independently researched Low-profile with a full "skirt" to keep broken paint out of the feed port, one-finger quick-release cam arm.
Cam-Loc Feed Neck Redz Not independently researched Tool-free twist-knob tension adjustment with a snap-lever clamp, a self-lubricating brass hinge, and a blow-back exhaust port to keep stacked paint from venting into the hopper. ANSgear's own listing explicitly states the manufacturer discontinued this product, matching Redz' other Ion parts covered elsewhere on this site.

High Rise Clamping Feedneck Shocktech Ion / Shocker SFT Aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum with a machined Delrin backstop and cam-lever lock. Made in the US, lifetime guarantee. Shocktech also sells a Low Rise version of this same feedneck — see the separate entry below.
Low Rise Clamping Feedneck Shocktech Ion / Shocker SFT Same aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum construction, machined Delrin backstop, and cam-lever lock as the High Rise version above, in a lower-profile body. Confirmed as a real, separately-listed ANSgear product, currently a preorder rather than in-stock.
Q-Lock Lever Clamping Feedneck Smart Parts Both — separate Ion/SFT and Ion XE/NXT versions were sold Large cam-operated lever, sold in multiple colors. Confirmed discontinued and not available for reorder from any major retailer — secondhand only. The linked ANSgear listing is filed in their "Paintball Graveyard," confirming the manufacturer discontinued it.
T-Lock Clamping Feedneck Trinity Paintball Not independently researched Trinity's ASA, grip, and body-kit products elsewhere on this site are all confirmed discontinued along with the rest of the company. The T-Lock name still turns up in current retailer listings, but only for other marker platforms (Spyder, Cocker/Timmy) — nothing Ion-specific found, and a source summary directly states Trinity no longer makes feednecks at all. A 2007–2008 community parts catalog calls the Ion version "the world famous T-lock, used by pro players" — a low-rise clamping design, secured by the marker's two stock screws with an additional tightening allen screw.
EZ Lock Clamping Feedneck Ultimate Fusion Designs (UFD) Ion / Shocker SFT (also fits Impulse, Shocker, Nerve, and other clones) A tool-free lever-and-screw design — one of three distinct clamping feednecks UFD sold for the Ion (see also: Mini, Standard). Budget/generic option: unbranded aluminum feednecks (sold under names like "TUIOOE" on Amazon) also exist for the Ion. They're cheap and reportedly functional, but there's no maker warranty or reputation behind them the way there is with the brands above — worth knowing what you're trading off for the lower price.

If a feedneck is stuck: a hair dryer to warm the threads, plus a grip wrench (or a vice to clamp the neck while you twist), works better than forcing it. Turn counter-clockwise to remove — going the wrong way risks stripping the threads on the body breech.
