Which Ion do you have?
Ion 1.0 and 2.0 share the same core internals — body, grips, bolt, board, and firing assembly are fully interchangeable between them. The real differences are the regulator, feedneck, ASA, and button style — all visible without disassembly once you know what to look for. XE is the easy one to spot: it's the only one that loads from the back.
